At least 61 personnel were martyred while over 100 were left wounded in the attack

QUETTA (Dunya News) – Reportedly, Chief Minister (CM) of Balochistan, Sanaullah Zehri had rejected Inspector General (IG) of Police’s request to lift walls of the training facility before it was attacked last night.

The Chief Minister admitted on Tuesday to have knowledge of terrorists’ presence in the province through intelligence agencies.
Reportedly, a formal demand of Balochistan IGP was rejected by the Chief Minister on September 6, over a month before the attack.

Analysts have raised questions over security lapse despite alleged implementation of National Action Plan (NAP), devised early 2015 to counter extremist attacks.

Around 200 freshly recruited police personnel were held hostage last night by three terrorists in a training academy of Balochistan Police situated on Sariab Road.

At least 61 personnel were martyred while over 100 were left wounded in the attack.
