65th death anniversary of Liaquat Ali Khan being observed today

People from various walks of life paid homage to Shaheed Liaquat Ali Khan.

KARACHI (Dunya News) - The 65th death anniversary of Shaheed-i-Millat Khan Liaquat Ali Khan is being observed on Sunday.

People from various walks of life paid homage to Shaheed Liaquat Ali Khan for his immense services for the cause of Pakistan Movement and then as the first prime minister of the country.

Deputy Mayor Karachi Arshad Wehra offered Fateha and laid floral wreath on the grave of Liaquat Ali Khan.

While talking to media, he said that Shaheed-i-Millat Khan Liaquat Ali Khan was a sincere leader of Pakistan and was concerned for his country even at the time of his death.

He expressed grief over the demise of such great leader.

Responding to a question, he said that he support Waseem Akhtar’s stance on shutting down marriage halls.

He pronounced that marriage halls are under the civil government therefore; Sindh government should have taken elected local representatives into confidence while setting the timings.
