Khawaja Izhar has demanded Bilawal to come true to his promises

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Chief of Muttahida Qaumi Movement, Dr Farooq Sattar along with Khawaja Izharul Hassan and deputy mayor said on Wednesday that the nation is witness to the sacrifices they rendered for the country.

Leader of the Opposition in Sindh Assembly, Izharul Hassan and Arshad Vohra, Deputy Mayor of Karachi accompanied Dr Sattar in the key procession led in connection with Youm-e-Ashur.

Dr Sattar said that the leaders of MQM Pakistan first rendered sacrifices for establishment of the country, then to save her and now to stand by the state.

The opposition leader and the deputy mayor inspected the arrangements done for the procession. While talking to the media, Izharul Hassan said that the government would have to give powers to elected representatives of local government.

He demanded Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Chairman of Pakistan People’s Party to come true to the promises he had made.

On the occasion, the deputy mayor hoped that the jailed Mayor of Karachi, Waseem Akhtar would soon take charge of the city affairs.

It should be noted here that Akhtar was barred from running the affairs of the city under a law pertaining to the local government.
