He criticised Indian government for taking steps to isolate Pakistan in the world
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – While addressing the joint session of the Parliament, opposition leader in the National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah told that India was adamant to keep Kashmiris oppressed.
Shah said that the government needed to increase pressure on India for freedom of Kashmiris. Jawaharlal Nehru, the first premier of India was willing to resolve the outstanding dispute of Kashmir between Pakistan and India with all seriousness, Shah claimed.
He criticised Indian government for taking steps to isolate Pakistan in the world.
Leader of the Opposition seriously questioned Pakistan foreign policy and told that the weak diplomacy was the reason we lost the already won war at the conference table in Tashqand. He also lambasted the ‘cricket diplomacy’ and ‘Agra Photo Session’ of the past as weak diplomacy stunts.
Khurshid Shah also hinted at the fact of still not appointing a foreign minister by the present government. He also criticized the absence of Tariq Fatemi at the joint session of the Parliament.
He censured Afghanistan government for not paying back for the decades long hospitality, that the nation showed towards refugees, by refusing participation in 19th Summit of South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) under Indian influence.
The opposition leader professed that Nawaz Sharif had carried out nuclear tests which resonated with the deterrence ideology of late Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.
However, he cleared that the Prime Minister carried out successful nuclear tests on the work done over technology during Pakistan People’s Party’s tenure.
Khursheed Shah pointed out that Nawaz Sharif should have disclosed the nefarious designs of India during his speech UN general assembly.
“The Parliament wants the supremacy of democracy and eradication of corruption from the country” said Khurshid Shah.
