No probe and investigations in Panama Case: Chairman NAB briefed PAC
Chairman NAB, Governor State Bank and DG FIA appeared in front of the meeting
Islamabad (Dunya News) – Panama Papers was also the main point of discussion at Public Accounts Committee’s meeting.
According to Dunya News, Chairman NAB, Governor State Bank and DG FIA appeared in front of the meeting.
Chairman NAB clearly stated that NAB has neither started nor would start investigation inside Panama Papers.
Chairman FBR informed meeting about issuing notices to some of the owners of off-shore companies, however; he also declared Panama Case outside his authority.
DG FIA and Governor Punjab also saved themselves using through the legal restrictions and their limitation of power. Despite all these facts, Chairman NAB still considered the meeting a successful one.
Meanwhile Sheikh Rasheed and Mian Afnan also engaged in a war of words at the meeting.
