Thin attendance in schools, offices as Eid holidays end

Attendance of employees both in government and private sector is not up to the mark
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Majority of private schools in major cities is shut on Thursday while government schools across the country have reopened after Eidul Azha holidays however, attendance is not up to the mark.
Government had announced three holidays for the purpose starting from Monday however, today is the third day of Eidul Azha and unlike previous practice, the people were asked to return to their work starting from today.
Reportedly, attendance in offices and schools is quite low keeping in mind that it is the first working day after holidays adding to which is the fact that Eidul Azha is not over yet.
People in different parts of the country are still continuing with fulfilling the religious obligation of sacrificing an animal in remembrance of great example set by Hazrat Ibrahim (AS).
According to the parents and guardians who dropped their kids at different schools, the government should have announced a holiday today as it is the third day of Eid and students should have stayed back and relaxed besides others at home.
Attendance of employees both in government and private sector is also low today.
Different offices in Karachi including Metropolitan Corporation were seen almost empty while in Lahore, the government employees are taking it easy as well.
On the other hand, President of All Pakistan Private Schools Management Association announced that the schools in Rawalpindi division would reopen on September 19.
Earlier in July, the government announced four holidays for Eidul Fitr.
