Khalid Soomro murder case transferred to military court, JUI protest ends
There was a rally in Karachi by JUI to protest against amendment in law regarding Madrassahs as well
KARACHI (Dunya News) - Jamiat-e-Ulema Fazl (JUI-F) conducted a rally on Thursday in Karachi against murder case of Dr Khalid Soomro not being transferred to military courts and amendments in law regarding Madrassahs, reported Dunya News.
The rally started from M. A. Jinnah Road at Numaish Chowrangi as protestors wanted to reach Chief Minister (C.M) House but police stopped them with containers. Advisor on law Murtaza Wahab and Senator Abdul Qayyum Soomro came to have a dialogue with protestors to settle the issue.
Protestors ended the rally when they were assured that case would be sent to military courts and they would be taken into confidence before amending the law about Madrassahs.
