JIT constituted for cases against Waseem Akhtar
The notification states that the JIT will interrogate the charges within seven days.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Sindh Home Department on Wednesday issued a notification for constitution of a Joint Investigation Team (JIT) to interrogate MQM’s jailed Karachi Mayor Waseem Akhtar, reported Dunya News.
The decision to constitute a JIT came in light of two recent cases filed against Waseem Akhtar. JIT will be headed by Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) whereas officers from different security agencies will also be part of it.
Two cases had been registered against Karachi mayor including one in Sachal Police Station and one in Malir City Police Station.
