Major terror bid foiled in Nushki, huge cache of weapons seized

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – In ongoing anti-terror crackdown, the security forces have foiled a major terrorism bid in Nushki district of Balochistan. 

As per details, Levies personnel exchanged fire with suspected terrorists last night in Naseerabad area of Balochistan’s Nushki district near Pak-Afghan Afghan border.

Taking advantage of the darkness, the suspects left their car behind and escaped from the scene.

While searching the car, the law enforcement personnel recovered 12,600 SMG rifle bullets, 134 empty magazines, 10400 LMG bullets, 568 bullets of machine gun, 1 LMG gun, 31 mortar shells, 7 rockets and 26 hand grenades.



The car bearing registration number CK-5115 was also seized.

Earlier today, the law enforcement personnel arrested a suspected terrorist in Islamabad.

According to sources, police conducted a raid in Tarnol area of the federal capital on a tip-off from the intelligence agencies.

A suspected terrorist identified as Farhan was nabbed during the operation. Two kilograms of explosives, prima card, detonator and a 9mm pistol was recovered from his possession.

The suspect has been moved to undisclosed location for interrogation.
