Four terrorists of banned outfit arrested in Karachi
The terrorists allegedly have contacts with outlawed wing involved in attack on Shuja Khanzada.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – At least four terrorists of banned outfit arrested in a raid of Special Investigation Unit (SIU) and intelligence agencies in Karachi’s Gulshan-e-Iqbal today (Tuesday).
While holding a press conference, SIU Senior Superintendent of Police Farooq Awan said that an action was launched against the terrorists near Disco Bakery in which as many as four militants were detained.

He said that the suspects, identified as Azhar Hussain, Abdul Adeel, Kashif Ali and Syed Alim, allegedly have contacts with Abu Sufyan group who attacked Punjab Home Minister Shuja Khanzada.
SSP said that they were also involved in kidnapping for ransom, extortion, murders by adorning police uniform and street crimes.
The criminals used to purchase arms and bombs from the dacoity money, he added.
Policeman told that the arrested terrorists dodged the people by showing themselves as advertisers on social websites. It was also learnt that the terrorists were planning to attack or kidnap a higher official.

On the other hand, a major terror bid was foiled in Peshawar as the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) arrested a suspected terrorist and recovered a bomb from his possession.

Alleged militant arrested in Peshawar
Alleged terrorist Rehman-ud-Din, a member of banned organisation Jamaat-ul-Ahrar from Upper Dir, was arrested near Radio Pakistan building on Bacha Khan Road. A bomb weighing two kilograms was also seized from his possession.
Preliminary investigation revealed that Rehman-ud-Din was trained for a suicide attack, police said.
