Six electrocuted as heavy rain lashes Karachi

At least six persons were electrocuted in different parts of Karachi after heavy rain.

KARACHI (Dunya News) - At least six people were electrocuted in different parts of Karachi due to heavy rainfall that lashed the city on Friday, Dunya News reported.

According to details, a man was electrocuted in Hussainabad area while 18-year-old Faisal was electrocuted near Korangi No 4 area.

In Malir’s Khada Market 40-year-old was electrocuted while 17-year-old Salman electrocuted in Kala Board area. Two other persons were electrocuted in Gulistan Johar and New Karachi areas.

Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC), at least 400 feeders were tripped across the city during the rain but the repair work has been started in the affected areas.

Heavy rainfall lashed Karachi on Friday which also disrupted the traffic flow in many areas and caused difficulties to the commuters, however, it decreased the temperature in the city turning the weather pleasant.
