Justice Saqib Nisar takes oath as acting CJP
Justice Saqib took oath as acting CJP after Justice Jamali left for UAE.
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - Mian Saqib Nisar took oath as Acting Chief Justice of Pakistan today (Saturday), Dunya News reported.
The oath was administered by Justice Asif Saeed Khan Khosa in a simple but dignified ceremony in the Supreme Court Lahore Registry.
The ceremony was attended by Judges of the Supreme Court of Pakistan including Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed, Justice Iqbal Hameed-ur-Rehman, LHC CJ Mansoor Ali Shah, Justice Shahid Hameed Dar and other senior Lawyers.
Justice Mian Saqib Nisar will act as Chief Justice of Pakistan during the period, Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali, Chief Justice of Pakistan remains abroad.
