Narowal: Locals' protest against power outage enters third day
Heavy contingent of police also arrived at scene but the protesters denied to call off the strike.
NAROWAL (Dunya News) – Locals’ protest against prolonged power load shedding in Narowal has entered third day, reported on Saturday.
According to details, the residents of Jawad Colony and Hajveer Nagar Colony are deprived of electricity due to dysfunctional transformer.
The protesters said that Wapda officials have been contacted to replace the transformer but no action has been taken so far despite submission of Rs 30,000.
The natives also chanted slogans against the administration and blocked the roads linked to Lahore, Gujranwala and Sialkot by burning tyres.
Heavy contingent of police also arrived at the scene but the protesters denied to call off the strike.
