Gilgit-Baltistan: By-election in GBLA-18 to be held today
Voting for by-election in GBLA-18 will start at 08:00am and continue till 04:00pm.
CHILAS (Dunya News) –By-polls in Gilgit-Baltistan’s constituency GBLA-18 Diamir-4 Tangir will be held today (Tuesday). All arrangements have been finalized to hold the election in peaceful manner, Dunya News reported.
A close contest is expected between PML-N candidate Imran Wakeel and JUI candidate Haji Gulbar Khan. The seat fell vacant after the death of PML-N leader Haji Muhammad Wakeel.
Voting for by-election in GBLA-18 will start at 08:00am and continue till 04:00pm. At least 15,645 voters will be exercising their voting rights. Pakistan Army and police personnel have been deployed to hold the election in peaceful manner.
