Karachi: CTD, intelligence agencies foiled major terror bid
Terrorist of a banned outfit arrested, 4-kg explosive material recovered from his possession.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) and intelligence agencies in a joint operation arrested a terrorist of a banned organistion, Yasin alias Ungli Katta, and recovered a hand grenade and four kilograms of explosive material from his possession, Dunya News reported.
According to SSP CTD, Junaid Sheikh, Yasin and his accomplices had planned to carry out attacks in Karachi on Eid-ul-Fitr. He further informed that the arrested terrorist was also involved in target killings of security forces personnel.
On the other hand, police carried out a targeted operation in Pakhtunabad area of Manghu Pir and arrested 15 suspects during house-to-house search.
