Speedy car crushes one to death, injures two in Multan
However, the car driver managed to escape from the scene.
MULTAN (Dunya News) – A speedy car on Friday crushed a motorcycle rider to death and injured two pedestrians on Multan’s Bawa Safra Road.
The car driver named Nadeem lost control of the vehicle which ran over first on a 65-year-old man on motorcycle and then on two pedestrians standing nearby.
The elder man named Riaz died on the spot whereas the two others were shifted to Nishtar Hospital in injured condition by Rescue 1122.
However, the car driver managed to escape from the scene.
Deadly accidents are common on roads across Pakistan due to bad road infrastructure and rampant disregard of traffic laws.
Over 9,000 road accidents are reported to the police every year, killing on average around 5,000 people, according to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics.
