Karachi: Mayor, Deputy Mayor elections to be held on June 8
Polling shall take place on June 8 whereas results will be announced the very next day
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has announced the schedule regarding the elections of Mayor and Deputy Mayor in Karachi, reported Dunya News on Wednesday.
Candidates can submit their nomination papers on May 23 and 24 whereas the papers will be scrutinised on May 25, 26 and appeals can be filed till May 28. Candidates can withdraw their papers till May 31.
The list of selected candidates shall be made available on June 1 and they shall also be provided with election symbols on the very same day. Polling shall take place on June 8 whereas the results of the elections for Mayor, Deputy Mayor will be announced on June 9.
