A three-member bench of the SC heard the computerisation of land record case.

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – While hearing a case pertaining to computerisation of land record, a three-member bench of the Supreme Court headed by Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali today (Wednesday) expressed resentment over delay in the process by Sindh government, Dunya News reported.

Meanwhile, the apex court expressed satisfaction over measures taken by Punjab, Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces in this regard.

Expressing anger at the PPP-led Sindh government, Justice Amir Hani Muslim remarked that the provincial authorities did not even computerise the record of a single district in the last five years. Neither any inquiry nor inspection carried out on any of the complaints during this period, he said.

He stated that the Sindh government would have completed the task if they had intended to do so.

Situation cannot improve until Mr. Shah is there, Justice Muslim added.

Chief Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali remarked that next hearing of the case will be conducted in Karachi. He directed the Sindh Revenue Department to submit progress report within next two months.

Subsequently, the case hearing was adjourned for two months.
