Banned outfit of Punjab involved in Gulshan-e-Iqbal attack

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Security agencies have arrested two key suspects of Lahore blast on Tuesday who revealed that a banned outfit is involved in the Lahore attack while a 5-member Joint Investigation Team (JIT) has been formed in order to achieve a breakthrough in the investigation, reported Dunya News.

Security agencies have gathered important information about the Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park Lahore blast which had killed 74 people and approximately 300 have been reported injured. The information has been recovered from Ameer Mauvia arrested from Muzaffargarh and Zeeshan from Faisalabad.

According to the sources, a banned outfit in Punjab has been involved in the attack. Security agencies have considered it a success in a crackdown against the terrorists. A 5-member JIT has also been formed for breakthrough in the investigation of the case.

These members include SP-CTD investigation, 2 officials of intelligence agencies, concerned SHO and investigation officer while SP-CTD investigation will head the committee. Punjab Interior Ministry has issued a notification in this regard.
