Supreme Court upholds tribunal's verdict in NA-267, orders re-election

Khalid Magsi's victory was challenged by opponent Abdul Raheem in the tribunal
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Supreme Court (SC) has upheld tribunal’s verdict in NA-267 case ordering a re-election, Dunya News reported Wednesday.
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) Khalid Magsi’s victory was challenged by opponent Abdul Raheem in the election tribunal.
The tribunal had given verdict in favour of the losing candidate. Raheem had accused ruling party’s candidate of rigging the poll.
After tribunal’s verdict, Magsi approached the Supreme Court and appealed against the decision.
However, the court today has ordered a re-poll for election of a National Assembly (NA) member from Balochistan’s constituency.
