PIA pilot saved the day for both airlines and passengers with his presence of mind, inquiry begins

KARACHI: (Dunya News) – Two planes from Pakistan International Airline (PIA) and Shaheen Airline came head to head earlier on Thursday near Gwadar and barely avoided the collision as the national airline’s pilot showed great presence of mind, saving the day for both the planes as well as the passengers. The inquiry into the matter has begun, reported Dunya News.

According to Civil Aviation sources, PIA and Shaheen Airline planes suddenly came close and within the range of a collision, but the terrible accident was avoided somehow courtesy great presence of mind displayed by the PIA pilot.

The sources told that the traffic controllers at Civil Aviation issued directions to both the pilots but both ignored the warnings due to which the planes came closer to a collision. The sources told that the Shaheen Airline pilot changed his frequency without information due to which the PIA pilot also had to face the problem. The inquiry into the matter has also been started.
