Sindh Home Minister says 6000 new recruitments will be made, will be provided with latest equipment

KARACHI: (Dunya News) – Sindh Home Minister Suhail Anwar Siyal has on Monday said that 6000 new appointments will be made in the traffic police. He said that the new recruits will be provided with the latest equipment and bullet-proof jackets, reported Dunya News.

Addressing a ceremony held at Garden Headquarter, Suhail Anwar Siyal said that the traffic policemen have laid their lives to serve the people. He said that Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) never forgets the martyrs. He announced that 6000 new appointments will be made in traffic police and they will be provided with bullet-proof jackets, helmets and all the latest equipment.

Siyal said that there is no grouping in Karachi police and Karachi operation has not been affected at all. He added that investigation teams are investigating the deaths of PIA employees.

Talking on this occasion, Traffic DIG Amir Sheikh said that educated youth must be employed in the traffic police on immediate basis. He applauded the role played by the traffic wardens in controlling Lahore traffic.

The performing officers and officials were also rewarded on this occasion.
