Karachi: Youth wounded in fake police encounter
Karachi police opened fire and wounded a youth who failed to stop at a check post in Gizri area.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Police in Karachi opened fire and critically wounded a motorcyclist when he failed to stop at a police check post in Khayaban-e-Tanzeem area of Gizri on Sunday night, Dunya News reported.
The victim was identified as Sheharyar. He was shifted to Jinnah Hospital in critical condition. Sheharyar’s heirs also reached the hospital and staged a protest against fake police encounter.
A friend of Sheharyar who is also an eye-witness of the incident has revealed that police opened fire at Sheharyar when he failed to stop at the police check post.
After the protest by the heirs of Sheharyar in front of Jinnah Hospital, police have arrested the two cops involved in the incident. They were identified as Mudassar and Humza. A case has also been registered against them in the Gizri Police Station.
