Police links revealed with gang war suspects, cases filed on officials in Karachi
KARACHI: (Dunya News) – At least two police officials were booked after alleged links between them and Lyari gang war criminals were revealed on Friday, Dunya News reported.
Gang war suspect Waheed Niazi revealed during investigation in police custody at Docks police station that police are partner to gang war criminals in extortion, ransom and other crimes. He also revealed that the officers in Docks police station, Talib and Imran have been receiving money from the suspects. The police have registered cases against these officers.
Inspector General of Police (IG) Sindh, Ghulam Haider Jamali was asked by media about these officers but he avoided any response. On being asked again about this revelation he said black sheep in police department will soon be kicked out.
Meanwhile police officer Akram accused of ransom revealed in the custody of Rangers that his activities were fully known by his senior officers.
