CM Punjab pledged to take Pakistan on the roads of success.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Chief Minister of Punjab (CM) Shahbaz Sharif on Monday stated that law and order situation in the country has improved due to the implementation of National Action Plan (NAP).

While talking to party representatives in Lahore, CM Shahbaz urged the nation to play role in eradicating terrorism from the region. He said that every citizen has to work for the welfare of the state and should stand against the menace of terrorism.

Its necessity to eliminate terrorization for the prosperity, peace and protection of the next generation, he added.

Moreover, CM Punjab pledged to take Pakistan on the roads of success.

In wake of the Peshawar attack, the government launched NAP in January 2015 to rid the country of the scourge of terrorism and to crackdown on the militants.

The attack on the Army Public School saw a shift in public opinion on the country‘s more than decade long struggle against extremism.

At least 637 terrorists were killed and 710 arrested this year under the NAP. 373 terrorists were killed in the Federally Administered Tribal Area (FATA), 98 in Balochistan, 55 in Punjab, 36 in Sindh, one each terrorist was killed in Islamabad and Gilgit-Baltistan in 2015.
