Brother of main culprit in Rashid Godil firing case arrested
Razi opened fire on Rashid Godil while a terrorist named Shariq was driving the motorbike: Sohail
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) police arrested the brother of main culprit in case of firing on Rashid Godil. Police arrested Sohail Bakik, the brother of Shahid Bakik, reported Dunya News.
According to CTD Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) Naveed Khawaja, Shahid Bakik was behind the attack on Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Rashid Godil in which his driver died, leaving Rashid Godil severely injured with many bullets in his face, neck and chest. Shahid’s brother Sohail told the police that Razi opened fire on Rashid Godil while another terrorist named Shariq was driving the motorbike. He also told that Shahid Bakik provide shelter to banned outfits’ terrorists. Two motorbikes were used in the attack. The other motorbike was used by Asad and Haider.

Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Rashid Godil has recuperated from his injuries sustained from shooting and has been discharged from hospital on Friday, reported Dunya News.
Rashid Godil had been shot by unidentified persons in Bahadurabad and was injured severely while his driver was killed on spot. Rashid Godil received treatment at Liaquat National Hospital afterwards. He was allowed to go home after doctors gave permission on Friday amidst tight security.
