Bride reaches polling station, casts vote in Rawalpindi's UC-42

The bride said that every citizen must cast vote and exercise democratic right.

RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – A bride-to-be on Saturday reached polling station in Rawalpindi’s UC-42 to cast her vote before she left for in-laws house with her husband.

While talking to Dunya News, she said that every citizen must cast vote and exercise democratic right for the betterment of the country.

She said that she could not miss her vote despite her wedding as she is aware of its importance.

The bride has cast vote to Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) candidate for chairmanship Sajjad Khan.

On the other hand, polling is underway in twelve districts of Punjab and six districts of Sindh that will concluded at 5:30 pm.

The six districts of Sindh are West Karachi, South Karachi, East Karachi, Korangi, Central Karachi and Malir while those of Punjab are Layyah, Rajanpur, D.G. Khan, Muzaffargarh, Rawalpindi, Jhang, Khushab, Multan, Sialkot, Narowal, Rahim Yar Khan and Bahawalpur.

A fierce competition is expected between PML-N and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in Punjab while mainly candidates of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Jamat-e-Islami (JI) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) will battle in Karachi.
