IHC: Special court's decision in high treason case challenged
Court's order to reinvestigate high treason case challenged by Justice (r) Abdul Hameed Dogar
ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – Special court’s decision in the high treason case has on Friday been challenged by former Chief Justice (r) Abdul Hameed Dogar in Islamabad High Court (IHC). The court had ordered reinvestigation of the high treason case, reported Dunya News.
According to details, Abdul Hameed Dogar has maintained in its petition that the special court exercised the power of suo moto notice which it wasn’t allowed to under the constitution. He said that Special Court’s recent decision is harsher than the one given on November 21, 2014 that was already declared void by the court. He demanded the recent decision to be declared void too.
