Zafar Ali Shah violates law, casts vote with photocopied ID card

Shah was due to cast his vote in UC-30, but brought photocopied ID card in lieu of original one.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – In what can be described as a blatant violation of electoral law, Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leader Zafar Ali Shah cast his vote on a photocopied ID card despite rigorous resistance from the electoral staff.

Reportedly, Zafar Ali Shah was due to cast his vote in UC-30, ward 6 but brought photocopied ID card in lieu of original one. Instead of complying with the law, the PML-N leader resisted against electoral staff and threatened them with dire consequences. He also cited them certain laws to back his claim of voting photocopied ID card.

After a long argument between Zafar Ali Shah and electoral staff, the latter gave up and Shah casted his vote against the law.
