Fire erupts in Karachi tyre factory
No life loss has been reported as no person was present inside the factory.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Fire broke out on Saturday in a warehouse of a tyre factory located in Korangi Industrial area of Karachi, causing damages worth millions of rupees.
Initially two cars of fire brigade reached the place to control the blaze but after observing the intensity of the fire additional five cars and one bowser were also called in for assistance.
The cause of the fire was not ascertained immediately however; rescuers were able to put out the fire after hectic efforts of two and a half hours.
According to fire brigade officials, the blaze was of moderate level.
Firefighters battled the flames efficiently in a bid to save the nearby buildings from damage whereas cooling process is still underway.
