The 22-year-old girl, belonging to Chakwal was thrown off a three-storey building after gang-rape

RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Law enforcers on Monday have obtained fingerprints from crime site in 22-year-old girl’s rape and killing case.

The agencies have sent towels, perfumes and medicines seized from plaza number 58’s apartment to laboratory for forensic tests. Sources privy to the police said that different items seized from the crime site have been sent for forensic tests.

Sources also said that key suspect, Umair’s shoes have been seized among other criminals’. Investigation team is also deliberating over whether the ill-fated girl was pushed off the roof or apartment’s window.

Earlier on Sunday, police could not present Umair before a court as he also fell off the roof and is under treatment in a local hospital.

Police have revealed that the victim was imprisoned for three days before she was killed. Additional Station House Officer (SHO) Rawat Israr Hussain further informed that the killed girl had notified her family of the imprisonment saying that her life was in danger a day before her murder. Hussain stated that Umair had pushed the girl off the building after raping her and had acted as if he himself had been injured.

The 22-year-old girl, belonging to Chakwal was thrown off a three-storey building after gang-rape on November 21.

The body of the victim was recovered outside a house in Rawalpindi’s Bahria Town Phase VIII.

The victim was missing from past three days whereas the boy and girl became friends on social networking website Facebook. The suspect and girl were preparing for CSS examinations.
