ABBOTTABAD (Web Desk) – More than forty villages are still cut off from rest of the region a day after a massive landslide in Abbottabad’s Havelian tehsil, Dunya News reported.
A Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) spokesman said that 50 houses were damaged and 700 meter long Havelian-Sajikot Satora road was affected due to the landslide.
The incident occurred after the hill overlooking Poona village had developed cracks at a couple of places after the October 26 earthquake.
Reportedly, the district administration has still not commenced relief activities in the area.
MPA Orangzeb Nalotha, while visiting the affected area, demanded immediate clearance of road.
Fearing more landslides, locals vacated another twelve houses on Sunday on the directives of the district administration.
