Rescue team is struggling to recover bodies of the deceased from the tanker

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Two labourers on Friday have died as they fell into an oil tanker during regular shift at a factory in Bhains Colony.

Details have it that as many as six workers fell in an oil tanker in factory situated in Qasim Industrial area. Four ill-fated labourers were rescued on time while the incident claimed two lives.

Two rescued persons fell unconscious who were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. Rescue team is struggling to recover bodies of the deceased from the tanker.

Earlier on November 14, a garment factory caught fire however no casualties were reported.

A sudden fire that erupted in a garment factory in Karachi’s Sher Shah turned items worth millions of rupees into ashes.

As many as seven fire tenders successfully extinguished the flame after the struggle of one hour however, the rescue officer stated that the huge blaze has badly gutted the whole floor.

He claimed that the factor was perhaps the biggest garment depot in the metropolis.

A firefighter at the scene said that the building could not be recommissioned for at least a week for business.

Meanwhile, the shop owner estimated that the cost of the total damage would certainly run into billions of rupees as the warehouse was full of garments at the time of fire.

Moreover, short circuit was revealed as a cause of fire.
