PM chairs high level meeting, security situation reviewed
High ranking officials took part in the meeting
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif chaired a high level meeting in capital on Monday. Agenda of Army Chief’s visit to United States (U.S.) and security situation were reviewed in the meeting, reported Dunya News.
Adviser to PM on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz told the participants that during the PM s visit to US, authorities had presented evidence related to terrorism being conducted by Indian intelligence agency RAW on Pakistani soil.
Army Chief s visit to U.S. was discussed in light of Prime Minister s recent visit to the US during the meeting. Ongoing operations against the terrorists and their facilitators along with accomplishments of Operation Zarb-e-Azb were also reviewed during the meeting.
High ranking officials including Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Federal Minister Ishaq Dar, Adviser to PM on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz, Advisor on National Security Lieutenant General Nasir Janjua and Tariq Fatemi took part in the meeting.
