The Lahore High Court accepted a petition regarding bail for Hamesh Khan, the former president of the Bank of Punjab and the principal accused in a Rs9 billion loan scam.Khans lawyers, Barrister Muhammad A. Sheikh filed a bail application in the Lahore High Court, claiming that there were still no proofs against their client, despite him being in physical remand since the past 90 days.A two member bench headed by the Chief Justice Lahore High Court Khawaja Muhammad Sharif heard the petition. The Lahore High Court adjourned the hearings of Hamesh Khan case and also extended Hamesh Khan's remand for two weeks.
