Merchants protest as Islamabad administration tries illegal cattle market

The administration has virtually failed to stop cattle merchants from assembling in the area

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The cattle merchants stormed at the capital administration in protest for launching an operation to eliminate an illegal cattle market established in the I-11 area, Dunya News reported.

According to details, a late night operation was launched against an illegal market selling sacrificial animals for Eid-ul-Azha erected in I-11 area. The officials have arrested as many as 45 merchants for violating the Section 144.

The enraged merchants came out in protest against the administration. The administration failed to relocate the market to another location and instead sealed the whole I sector making the residents practically entrapped in the area.
