Plea seeking cut in power tariff filed in LHC
Ministry for Water and Power and Nepra are made parties in the petition
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Petition seeking cut in electricity tariff has been filed in the Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday.
The plea is filed by Judicial Activism Panel Chairman. The petition states that despite reduction in petroleum products’ prices, power tariff was not revised.
He further criticized government stating that cut in petroleum products’ price in international market could not be translated into a benefit for the people.
Ministry for Water and Power and Nepra are made parties in the petition.
