Corruption in Karachi Sabzi Mandi: Administrator removed from post
Administrator Anwar Ali Gopang has been removed from his post over Dunya News' information
KARACHI: (Dunya News) – Administrator of the New Sabzi Mandi Karachi Anwar Ali Gopang has on Monday been removed from his post over the information provided by Dunya News. Anti-Corruption team also raided the local tax department today and seized all the record related to hoardings and Anti-Encroachment departments abolished the houses constructed on china-cutting land, reported Dunya News.
Law enforcing agencies have expedited their activities against the people involved in corruption. Anwar Ali Gopang, administrator of New Sabzi Mandi, has been removed over the information provided by Dunya News. Investigations have been ordered against Gopang. Dunya News had pointed out Gopang’s corruption 3 days ago.
Anti-Corruption department also raided the local tax departments in the Civic Center Karachi and seized the record related to hoardings. Sources told that the anti-corruption team also questioned some of the officials at the local tax department and summoned them for getting their statements recorded.
On the other hand, anti-encroachment department has also come alive in Karachi as the noose around china-cutting suspects has been tightened. They abolished the houses constructed over land occupied through china-cutting in Korangi.
