Pakistan Bar Council to boycott CJP's farewell ceremony over 'mistreatment'
PBC called a session on emergency basis
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Bar Council on Saturday approved a condemnation motion and announced to boycott farewell ceremony of Chief Justice of Pakistan Jawad S Khawaja over ‘ill-treatment’, Dunya News reported.
According to details, a session of Pakistan Bar Council was summoned on emergency basis where lawyers passed a condemnation motion against the Chief Justice over ‘mistreatment’ and announced to boycott the farewell ceremony.
Pakistan Bar Council’s Chairman Executive Committee Ahsan Bhawan said that they will not organize any farewell event for the outgoing Chief Justice, nor will they participate in already planned events in CJ’s honour.
