IHC grants two days to finalise arguments in PEMRA chairman's case

Process of appointing new chairman has been initiated, says Afnan Karim Kundi

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday has granted two days to parties’ counsels in case against reinstating of Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) chairman Chaudhry Rashid to finalise arguments.

Divisional bench of the IHC held hearing of federation’s intra-court appeal against Rashid.

Additional Attorney General Afnan Karim Kundi said that process of appointing new chairman has been initiated on orders of the Supreme Court (SC) of Pakistan. The government also advertised for the post, he added.

The IHC adjourned the hearing until September 2 and ordered the parties to finalise arguments in two days.
