Talks with India waste of time if Kashmir on back-burner: Sirajul Haq
India is sworn enemy of Pakistan; talking to India without Kashmir on agenda is useless, JI head
LONDON: (Dunya News) – Jamaat Islami (JI) head Sirajul Haq has on Thursday said that talking to India without Kashmir on the agenda is useless. He said that India is a sworn enemy of Pakistan and talks with India will be a waste of time if Kashmir is put on the back-burner, reported Dunya News.
Talking to a seminar organized by UK Islamic Mission in London, JI head said that if the government tried to make business agreements with India, ignoring the Kashmir issue, the JI would bar such a move along with the other political parties.
JI Azad Kashmir head Abdul Rasheed Turrabi, UK Islamic Mission’s Dr. Zahid Iqbal and Mayor Slav Chaudhry Rasib were present on this occasion along with others.
Senator Sirajul Haq said that overseas Pakistanis have helped Pakistanis in every hour of crisis and their sacrifices can’t be ignored. Criticizing the current electoral system of Pakistan, JI head declared it a system of the corrupt mafia. He demanded immediate implementation of the recommendations forwarded in the parliamentary committee for electoral reforms so that the people of Pakistan can taste the real democracy.
Sirajul Haq said that the problems of Pakistan won’t be solved unless Islamic system is implemented in the country. “And this can only be done by honest and patriotic leadership”, he concluded.
