Lahore High Court (LHC) Chief Justice (CJ) Khawaja Muhammad Sharif on Wednesday taking suo motu notice of the murder of two Christian brothers in Faisalabad has ordered judicial inquiry of the incident. When LHC CJ started hearing of the case, the RPO Faisalabad Aftab Cheema submitted a written report of investigations in the court in which it was said that the incident was occurred due to negligence of police. Whereas, the report said that the accused of the incident has been identified and raids are being made to arrest him. LHC CJ said in his remarks that negligence of police defames judiciary. He completed the suo moto notice case ordering judicial inquiry of the incident by Session Judge Shair Muhammad Yousaf. It is pertinent to mention here that the LHC CJ took the notice on a news report appearing in a section of the press that two Christian brothers, Rashid Emanuel and Sajid Emanuel, were shot dead outside a court on July 19. Both were accused of writing a blasphemous pamphlet.
