PM convenes meeting over Sindh, Punjab water issue today
Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has summoned a meeting today to resolve the dispute surrounding reopening of the Chashma-Jhelum Link Canal (CJLC) amicably.All four Chief Ministers including Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah will also be present during the meeting. The meeting will also review NFC award in an attempt to address the concerns of Sindh.It is pertinent to note that Federal member of Indus River System Authority (IRSA) and member from Sindh have resigned following the opening of the Chasma-Jhelum Link Canal.
