Islamabad LB polls: Scrutiny of candidates' nomination papers underway
The final list of the applicants with their symbols will be issued on the 6th of next month.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Scrutiny of candidates’ nomination papers filed for the first-ever local Government elections in Islamabad is underway till 4pm today (Tuesday), Dunya News reported.
According to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), as many as 4,190 candidates have submitted their nomination papers however, the contesting candidates can withdraw from the polls till July 5 while the final list of the applicants with their symbols will be issued on the 6th of next month.
Moreover, the federal capital will hold LB election on July 25.
