Federal govt urged to increase compensation for Yakaghund victims

The federal government has announced a Rs0.3million compensation for the heirs of the martyred, and Rs0.1million for the injured in the Yakaghund terror attack two days back. However, the Khber Pakhtunkhwa government appealed increment in the compensation money. Addressing the mourning ceremony of Yakaghund attack in Peshawar on Sunday, KP Information Minister Iftikhar Hussain asked the federal government to increase the money from Rs0.3million to Rs 0.5million, while Rs0.2 million for the injured. He said that peace is impossible in Pakistan unless it is established in Afghanistan. He said that Pakistan, Afghanistan and the US should evolve a new strategy against terrorism. It merits to mention that around 105 people have been killed while over 100 injured when a suicide bomber ripped through Yakaghund Bazaar in Mohmand Agency on Friday.
