Tariq Mir's statement continuation of MQM's media trial: Rabta Committee
MQM has said that party’s legal team is in contact with the relevant British authorities.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) Rabta Committee has stated that Tariq Mir’s alleged statement that is being broadcast on television is a continuation of MQM’s media trial, Dunya News reported on Saturday.
The Rabta Committee also said that MQM is probing the self-described statement whereas party’s legal team is in contact with the relevant British authorities.
Senior Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Tariq Mir confessed to the London Metropolitan Police of funding and training by Indian Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) officials. Mir gave his alleged statement to the British police highlighting the meetings between MQM and the Indian officials. In the statement Mir also revealed that top MQM leadership including MQM chief Altaf Hussain, senior leaders Imran Farooq and Mohammad Anwar were all aware of this financial aid and the ongoing meetings.
