Peshawar: Locals take to streets against power outage in Ramazan

PESHAWAR (Dunya News) - Extremely hot weather doubled up with worst unscheduled load shedding infuriated the fasters forcing them to take to the streets in Peshawar today (Saturday), Dunya News reported

The protesters staged protest outside WAPDA office under the supervision of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI’s) MPA Ishtiaq Armar and stormed the car of Advisor to Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif.

Enraged residents blocked the roads and also threw stones at the of WAPDA house. The demonstrating community stated that Armar and its adjoining areas are observing power outage for more than 22 hours, creating difficulties for people.

They further demanded early action on this issue and warned the government of intensifying the protest.
