Enraged protesters are damaging the government installations in Swabi, says Speaker

PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – The opposition parties on Friday have continued their boycott on second day of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Assembly budget session.

Speaker Asad Qaisar has given time to Wapda until Monday to end power outages.

While talking to the media outside the assembly, the KP Assembly Speaker criticised the federal government and the Wapda for long hours of power outages. He said that the Prime Minister (PM) had ordered the authorities to not carry out outages in Ramazan but Wapda has not followed the directives.

Qaisar said that enraged protesters are damaging the government installations in Swabi. He said that if Wapda and the authorities fail to end power outages until Monday then he would discuss the next strategy with the ministers.

He further said that there is no need to continue assembly sessions when people are not getting relief by the government under such harsh weather.
