Lawyers observe province wide strike against Burma Muslims' condition

The protesters have demanded immediate action by the government

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Lawyers on Friday have boycotted legal proceedings in courts matters as a protest against the miserable situation that Burma Muslims are forced to live in.

Earlier, the Punjab Bar Council had appealed the lawyers to boycott courts province wide against the prevailing situation of Burma Muslims. Following the appeal, lawyers have halted legal matters in Sessions Court, Cantonment court, Model Town court, District Court and others.

The protesters have demanded immediate action by the government to protect the Muslims in Burma. They further have urged the government to raise the issue on international platform.
