New helmet regulation sparks arguments between wardens, motorcyclists in Karachi
The demand of helmets has surged and with that so has the price
KARACHI (Dunya News) – The new regulation that ensures use of helmets by both driver and the passenger has sparked a persistent argument between motorcyclists and traffic police officials.
Traffic police has started detaining the violators of the new law in the metropolitan. The law enforces use of helmet on passenger in addition to the driver of a motorcycle. One can witness heated arguments between the locals and traffic police wardens at different places since the enactment of new regulation.
On the other hand, the demand of helmets has surged and with that so has the price. The enactment of the law is for sure in favour of the citizens but the hiked prices are irking the locals.
